This organization shall be called: Thailand ACM Chapter. In these bylaws it is referred to as the Chapter; the Association for Computing Machinery is referred to as ACM.
The Thailand ACM Chapter operates to promote knowledge, interest, and communication in computing fields, welcoming both ACM members and non-members without discrimination. It is governed by elected officers — Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer — who must be ACM members and can serve up to two consecutive terms. The Chapter holds accessible meetings, including an annual election meeting, and must maintain clear financial records and submit regular reports to ACM. Changes to its bylaws require ACM Headquarters’ approval, and all activities follow a strict code of conduct against harassment. In case of dissolution, the Chapter’s assets and liabilities transfer to ACM.
